At A for Artistic we have Santa Claus is Coming to Town! This would be considered a beginner class, so if you wanted to give polymer clay sculpting a try, this would be a fun class to try.

Currently being offered, Sculpting the Female Form, Back to Basics 101 with Deb Wood. This comprehensive class covers everything from ears to toes, and in great detail, with lots of reference photos. The class is underway now- but you still have time to join, because the class will run until later in June. There are 5 separate sessions with over 300 pages of information! The cost for members is discounted- 175.00 for the full series. 

Coming up Soon! Wisp, the Dragonfly Fairy April 6th- through May 18th. Class is 50.00 for members. 

Then, coming in June, Fairy Godmother! 

 

Isn't she a delight?! This class starts June 8th. You've always wanted a Fairy Godmother, haven't you? Well, here's your chance. A study of the elder body is included- and costuming includes the patterns so you're all set! The cost of this class is 50.00 for IADR members.

A few updates on the schedule for this year:

At A for Artistic , currently there are several classes running. Itty Bitty Bippy Bunny is an Easter themed class geared for people wanting to get familiar with polymer clay sculpting so beginners to intermediate would be comfortable with this class. The cost of this class is 50.00 and is open right now!



Next, beginning on March 27th, (that's TODAY!)  Turn that Frown Upside Down! A study of facial expressions starts.  This class is for everyone, and I go through step by step, showing how to create different facial expressions. 45.00 for this class.

Then coming in a couple weeks, on April 10th, Gelsey, a Flower Fairy class will begin. This class is 60.00 and is designed with the intermediate to advanced artist in mind. Learn to make your very own Flower Fairy- her costume is designed from flower petals!

Also coming up in April, I have Painting Detail on Faces starting, that's April 24th. This class follows up with the faces created in the Expressions Class, but you can use these techniques on your own sculptures as well. This class costs 45.00 and we cover several different types of products in this class. 

We have a very busy season planned. I hope you will consider joining me in an online class- they are a lot of fun and you can work at your own pace. And, I don't give grades!! So that's an A plus! A++ Thanks!

Sculpting the Female Form Series 

This class is a series class consisting of 5 sections, Armature, Faces, Torso, Arms and Hands, Legs and Feet. The full series is 200.00 but take all 5 for 175.00. 

This class begins March 5th and will continue through May.

 My well received Sculpting the Female Form Series Classes have started and will run for several months. The first one, Sculpting the Female Face has began on November 5th but you can still take part. This class is 4 Sessions including a comprehensive study on sculpting ears.

"Detail Painting on Faces" with Deb Wood

Imagine what would have happened if the shoe hadn't fit?! Come and join me and create a fun, elderly, but classically beautiful, posable character doll, complete with funky costuming and unique accessories! 

I will be teaching a 4 day seminar in Ft. Lauderdale, FL beginning on May 14th, 2014! I don't conduct many seminars in person anymore- so why not take this opportunity to join me? The class will be held in a private studio right on the water. Its a beautiful setting, relaxing and conducive to creative energy. 

I will continue to post photos here as this class develops, and also will update with prices etc. Students will stay in a nearby hotel, with transportation to and from the studio provided. The hotel provides free shuttle service from the airport and the hotel has free continental breakfast served each morning! Lunches will be provided to the group at a cost of 10.00 per day/ per person. This is optional but I am assured they are worth the price! (There isn't anywhere close that is convenient to go for lunches. Staying in is the best option.)  

Most materials will also be included in the seminar. So mark your calendar! Come and join us as we consider poor Cinderella, if the shoe hadn't fit!

Classes at A for Artistic

September-December 2013 

September 5th  Detail Painting your Sculptures  3/40.00 
This class will cover both Genesis Heat Set paints as well as acrylic paint so you will be able to try both.

September 19th  Sculpting a Mermaid  4/55.00 
In this class, learn to sculpt a mermaid as she appears to float over a large conch shell. A rock could also be used.

October 17th Swarovski rhinestone and crystal Tiara  2/35.00 
Learn how to make a delicate and beautiful teeny tiny tiara! A perfect accessory for your doll \

October 31st  Filigree Fantasy Wings  2/35.00 
This is a Just for Fun class- where you will learn new tips and techniques to make beautiful, fancy wings!

November 5th  Sculpting the Female Form series will begin! 
Starting with Sculpting the Female Face, 4/65.00. This series includes 5 separate classes, including at least 3 sessions per class, most have 4. The total series is over 300 pages of instruction, including hundreds of photos and illustrations for reference.

November 7th  Heaven Sent Angel 3/40.00 
This is another beginner level class to help you get familiar with the basics of polymer clay sculpting.

November 14th  Fairy Godmother  5/65.00
